Three and four year olds  can now benefit from  15 hours of free early education and childcare as part of the government's strategy to ensure every child gets the best start in life. From the term after your child becomes three your free early education and childcare entitlement is 15 hours each week.

 

Flexible

The 15 hours can be taken when you want and how you want, subject to availability. You can spread it over five, four or even three days. And  you can pay for extra childcare over and above the free 15 hours, if you need it.

 

Children attending free education and care are assigned a member of staff who observes and records their progress in the foundation stage curriculum. Sessions include structured play that encourages social, physical and intellectual skills.
